Joe Doran Hire Expands Account Management at Colonial Systems

Colonial Systems, the Boston area’s largest installer of contract office furniture and demountable walls, announced the hiring of Joe Doran as a senior account manager responsible for project execution, overseeing selected major accounts, and estimating.

Doran is a client services executive with long standing in the Boston market. The addition of his senior-level expertise in account management reflects a strategic emphasis on expanding Colonial Systems’ ability to support dealers with excellent customer service.

Demonstrated Commitment to Client Success

“The quality and timeliness of Colonial’s field work are paramount,” said Gene Kosman, the CEO at Colonial Systems. “Beyond that, nothing is more important from the owners’ perspective than to make sure we are listening to our customers and understanding how Colonial can best serve their needs and interests. Joe has an integral role in that mission.”

With more than 35 years of experience in furniture management and installation, Joe Doran has made major contributions in both dealer and independent-installer services during more than two-thirds of the contract furniture industry’s history. Prior to joining Colonial Systems, he was the vice president of client service at East Coast Office Installation. Before that, as Creative Office Pavilion’s head of client services, he provided executive-level oversight for project execution and client satisfaction for all accounts. Additionally, he had direct responsibility for management of the Fidelity account and was instrumental in furniture and move management for Fidelity.

“We’re delighted that Joe has decided to join the management team here at Colonial,” said Gene Kosman. “His long history with the Boston-area market as well as his deep experience in client services make him exceptionally well suited to help assure the success of our client dealers across the region.”

Joe enjoys spending time with Mary, his wife of 35 years, and his four sons and their families. He is an active golfer and spends time down the Cape when his busy schedule permits.
