Mike, our Senior Account Manager, is quite busy volunteering for Last Hope K9 Rescue when he’s not working at Colonial.
Last Hope K9 Rescue is the largest 100% volunteer-run rescue operation in the Northeast. They have adopted over 12,000 dogs since their inception in 2012. They save dogs from shelters in rural communities. In 2023, Colonial Systems was honored to help sponsor a fundraising event that raised over $204,000.
On a personal level, Mike and his wife Sam began fostering dogs with Last Hope K9 Rescue in 2014. Since then, they have adopted two dogs, transported many dogs to foster homes and adoption events, cared for dogs in quarantine, completed home visits, and transported and collected supplies and donations. In addition, they have taken two service trips to Arkansas, where they worked with shelters to improve facilities and processes and helped to pull dogs for rescue.
Last Hope K9 Rescue is always looking for more foster families and volunteers in Massachusetts and adopters across New England.
